Help communities build safer, stronger livelihoods through beekeeping
Why is this important?
Why is this important?
Across Africa, Bees Abroad is supporting locally led projects that use sustainable beekeeping to create income, strengthen communities, protect ecosystems, and open up long-term opportunity.
Your donation will help fund three projects already in motion in Rwanda, Tanzania, and Uganda.
Each one is rooted in local leadership. Each one is practical. Each one has clear impact.
Bees Abroad Projects are led by the community and grown from within the community.
Following the successful completion of a foundation year, projects are supported by us for an average of three years before graduating.

NEW PROJECT

Elephant Bee Fences
In partnership with Wild Survivors, this project will introduce elephant bee fences, plant trees, and support women’s honey and beeswax micro-enterprises. Elephant bee fences are an innovative way to reduce human-elephant conflict while also creating opportunities for income through beekeeping. This means safer farms, stronger livelihoods, and a more balanced relationship between people and wildlife.
Donate to help:
protect farms and harvests
support women-led enterprise
expand a practical conservation model
Target
£4,000
