A simple tick can achieve more than you think.

When you donate £100 to Bees Abroad which enough to buy a protective bee suit for a new beekeeper, Gift Aid automatically adds an extra £25. That additional amount? It buys the hive to go with that suit.

Even smaller donations add up: Four £5 donations with Gift Aid (£20 + £5 Gift Aid) equals the cost of a hive. A £25 donation becomes £31.25 which is enough for a hive and a smoker.

What is Gift Aid?

Gift Aid is a UK government scheme that allows us to reclaim 25% extra on your donation from HMRC at no cost to you.

Here's how it works: You donate £100, we claim an additional £25 from the government, and we receive £125 total.

The only requirement? You must be a UK taxpayer, and the Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax you pay must cover the Gift Aid claimed on all your donations for that tax year.

Our projects are led and managed by volunteers, so all funding goes to local experts who deliver locally appropriate training. This means every pound you donate and every Gift Aid pound we claim goes directly toward equipment, materials, and supporting the trainers who work within their own communities.
