Growing Sustainability and Opportunity: Our Partnership with 5Kind

Growing Sustainability and Opportunity: Our Partnership with 5Kind

Jan 7, 2026

At Bees Abroad, we are committed to empowering communities through sustainable beekeeping — helping people build skills, livelihoods and resilient futures while protecting vital pollinators and ecosystems. This vision has taken a meaningful step forward through our new partnership with 5Kind, makers of natural bee-inspired wellness products.

Why This Partnership Matters

Bees are at the heart of our work. They are essential pollinators, ecosystem stewards and symbols of collaboration, resilience and natural innovation. So when 5Kind approached us to explore how their values could align with ours, it was a natural fit. Their belief in nature’s ability to improve wellbeing, communities and the planet reflects the same philosophy that drives Bees Abroad.

Together, we are investing in sustainable beekeeping education that creates lasting impact — not just short-term support.

Supporting the Nyabihu School for the Deaf

Thanks to 5Kind’s generous funding, we are now fully underway with our project at the Nyabihu School for the Deaf in Rwanda. This initiative is about more than charity — it’s about education, skill building and dignity. Students and community members are gaining practical training in beekeeping that can lead directly to income-earning opportunities, improved food security and enhanced environmental stewardship.

In our recent training session, 22 students completed beekeeping training that covered hive management, bee health and sustainable honey production. Photos and firsthand stories from the school team are coming soon, along with a quote from school leadership that will help share the impact in their own words.

Growing Together

This partnership underscores how commercial purpose and community purpose can work in harmony. 5Kind’s commitment extends beyond funding. With a 12-month collaborative strategy of shared storytelling, co-marketing and community-engagement campaigns, our work together will highlight real impact — from increased skills and economic opportunities in Nyabihu to strengthened connections with customers and wider communities interested in sustainability and wellbeing.

We believe that beekeeping can be a powerful tool for change — sparking opportunity where it’s needed most, and reminding us that sustainable livelihoods grow from knowledge, support and collaboration.

Together with 5Kind, we are creating a kinder, more sustainable world — one hive at a time.

Stay tuned for more photos, stories from Nyabihu and updates on our progress throughout the year.
